100% HEMP
Our 100% hemp, is sourced locally from a supplier in Sydney called Hemp Gallery. Hemp Gallery, sources their hemp from Northern China, where it is grown GMO free & with little man made irrigation. Hemp has the ability to regenerate soils, sequester carbon & promote biodiversity in the way it's grown - giving back what it takes to Earth.
The Hemp fabric has been softened with fruit enzymes, hot washed and rinsed to preshrink. It has no surface treatments & is naturally antibacterial.

CARE LABELS
Our care labels are made out of 100% organic, unbleached & regeneratively grown cotton - sourced from Spain.
They are printed using transfer printing techniques in Sydney Australia, the dyes are water based & OEKO-TEX certified.
They are sewn together using 100% organic cotton thread sourced & grown in Europe.

THREAD
Our threads are sourced between Scanfil & Sewpure. Scanfil is based in the Netherlands and produces their threads in Europe. Sewpure produces their threads from seed to spool in India.
These thread suppliers hold the following certifications: GOTS ( global organic textile standard)
Unfortunately, we realised after production that a polyester thread was used to stitch together the elastic sides in our short's waistband. Having better communication with suppliers & ensuring our natural fibres mission is always met is on our list for improvements. This is the only synthetic fibre used within our threads.
ELASTIC
Our elastic is sourced from James Tailoring UK it is crafted from a blend of natural tree rubber & organic cotton.
The elastic is biodegradable & void of chemical pre shrinking.

PRINTING
Our 100% Hemp pieces are printed in Sydney, Australia using water based OEKO-TEX certified dyes. NineLivesCo, prints our pieces using a direct to garment method. Providing a modality which doesn't require water to clean the screens & subject water run off to harmful chemicals.
PACKAGING
We source our packaging from Noissue & Heaps Good packaging.
Tissue paper: Soy based inks, acid free, FSC certified, biodegradable & compostable
Boxes: Compostable, recyclable, water based inks, acid free & FSC certified
Packing cards: Compostable, recyclable, soy varnished, acid free, soy based inks, FSC certified
Water activated tape: Water reactive, natural starch adhesive made from potatoes, compostable, recyclable made out of paper
Stickers: Soy based inks, compostable, acid free, FSC certified
SHIPPING
We use DHL 'Go Green' shipping ( a dedicated solution to help businesses reduce their "inset" carbon emissions associated with their shipments through the use of sustainable aviation fuel ) and Australia post for all online orders. Australia post offsets carbon emissions for most parcels* with each delivery.
